Objective To analyze the effect of laparoscopic appendectomy on surgical indicators and inflammatory factors in children with perforating appendicitis. Methods A total of 82 children with perforating appendicitis admitted to Yinping Town Central Health Center,Yicheng District from July 2021 to August 2023 were selected and divided into two groups by the random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. The control group underwent traditional open surgery, while the observation group underwent laparoscopic appendectomy. The surgical indexes, serum C-reactive protein(CRP)and procalcitonin(PCT)levels, and the total incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The amount of blood loss in the observation group was less than that in the control group, the incision length, postoperative exhaust time, and hospitalization time were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of CRP and PCT in both groups after operation were higher than those before operation, but those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total complication rate of observation group was lower than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with traditional open surgery, laparoscopic appendectomy for perforating appendicitis has less trauma, fewer complications, and is more conducive to postoperative rehabilitation of children.
