The effect of maternal colostrum syringe gravity feeding combined with oral movement on the physical and neurological development of premature infants with difficulty in oral feeding
Objective To analyze the effect of maternal colostrum syringe gravity feeding combined with oral movement on the physical and neurological development of premature infants with difficulty in oral feeding.Methods Sixty premature infants with difficulty in oral feeding admitted to the Neonatal Care Unit of People's Hospital of Jiawang District of Xuzhou City from May 2021 to November 2023 were selected.They were divided into two groups using envelope method,with 30 cases in each group.Both groups received nursing care in the neonatal intensive care unit with the same protocol.The control group received traditional feeding,while the observation group received maternal colostrum syringe gravity feeding combined with oral movement.After one month,physical development indicators,neonatal 20 behavioral neurological assessment(NBNA)scores,and the total incidence of feeding related adverse events of two groups were counted.Results The total incidence of feeding related adverse events,physical development indicators,and NBNA scores after nursing in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of maternal colostrum syringe gravity feeding and oral movement can promote the physical and neurological development of premature infants with difficulty in oral feeding,and is worth promoting.
