Objective To systematically evaluate the clinical effect of Gaofang in the treatment of anorexia in children. Methods CNKI,VIP,SinoMed,WanFang Data and PubMed databases were searched from the establishment of the database to February 5,2024 to collect randomized controlled trials of the Gaofang in the treatment of anorexia in children.RevMan 5.3 software was used for meta-analysis.Results A total of 20 literature was included, involving 1630 children. The results of meta-analysis showed that compared with the control group, the total clinical effective rate of the experimental group was higher(RR=1.22,95%CI[1.17,1.27],P<0.000 01),and the total traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score was lower(MD=-3.12,95%CI[-3.77,-2.47],P<0.000 01),and the levels of zinc and iron were higher(SMD=0.96,95%CI[0.63,1.29],P<0.000 01;SMD=1.54,95%CI[0.61,2.47],P=0.001),and the body weight was higher(MD=1.37,95%CI[0.20,2.55],P=0.02).Conclusion Gaofang in the treatment of anorexia in children can improve clinical symptoms, increase micronutrient levels, and increase body weight, but more high-quality studies are needed to confirm this.
