Endometriosis(EMT)refers to the appearance of endometrioid like tissue in any location outside of the endometrium and muscle layer, and the clinical characteristics include gradually worsening dysmenorrhea, infertility, pelvic mass, etc.,which seriously reduces the quality of life of women.EMT is often characterized by malignant tumor in biological behavior and histopathology, and has the potential of malignant transformation.Alternative splicing is an important mechanism for regulating gene expression and generating protein diversity, which is closely related to the occurrence and development of tumors.Current study has found that the abnormal expression of alternative splicing factors can play a role in the occurrence and development of EMT through epigenetics, angiogenesis, and cell proliferation, migration and invasion. This article reviews the role of alternative splicing in the pathogenesis of EMT,providing new ideas for the early diagnosis of EMT.
