Objective To analyze the positive rate and risk factors of group B Streptococcus(GBS)in pregnant women in Inner Mongolia Region. Methods A total of 9048 pregnant women who underwent pregnancy examination in the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from July 2021 to May 2023 were selected.GBS infection was detected by fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and the positive rate of GBS and risk factors of pregnant women in Inner Mongolia Region were analyzed. Results Among the 9048 pregnant women,300 pregnant women were GBS positive, and the GBS positive rate was 3.32%.Univariate analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference in the history of adverse pregnancy and childbirth between the two groups(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that history of adverse pregnancy and childbirth was an independent risk factor for GBS infection in pregnant women(P<0.05).Conclusion The positive rate of GBS in pregnant women in Inner Mongolia Region is low.History of adverse pregnancy and childbirth is a risk factor for GBS infection in pregnant women, and targeted preventive measures should be taken to reduce the risk of neonatal GBS infection during the perinatal period.
