Objective To explore the application effect of gravity feeding combined with neonatal touch care in the care of very low birthweight infants. Methods A total of 200 very low birth weight infants admitted to Jinan Children's Hospital from January 2021 to February 2022 were selected as the research objects.According to the lottery method, they were divided into two groups, with 100 cases in each group. The observation group received gravity feeding combined with neonatal touch care, while the control group received routine nursing. The indwelling time of nasogastric tube, hospital stay, daily milk intake, weight at different times and the incidence of feeding intolerance were compared between the two groups. Results The indwelling time of nasogastric tube was(11.31±6.81)days and hospitalization time was(23.17±7.21)days in the observation group, which were better than(15.72±7.11)days and(29.11±7.16)days in the control group(P<0.05).The daily milk intake of the observation group was(409.21±9.31)ml,which was more than(361.27±8.14)ml of the control group(P<0.05).There was a statistical difference in weight at full oral feeding and at discharge between the two groups(P<0.05).The incidence of feeding intolerance in the observation group was 1.00%,which was lower than 12.00%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Gravity feeding combined with neonatal touch care has a good application effect in the nursing of very low birth weight infants.
