Objective To explore the impact of obstetrics psychological nursing on maternal and infant outcomes and postpartum depression in parturients. Methods A total of 600 parturients who underwent natural delivery in Beijing Chaoyang District Maternal and Child Health Hospital from June to December 2022 were selected as the study objects. All the parturients were divided into two groups using the random number table method. The control group(300 cases)received routine nursing, while the observation group received obstetrics psychological nursing on the basis of the control group. The postpartum depression scores, labor, nursing satisfaction, and maternal and infant outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group had lower Edinburgh postnatal depression scale scores at 5 days and 3 weeks postpartum than the control group(P<0.05).The first, second, and third stages of labor in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total rate of nursing satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of maternal and infant outcomes in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Obstetrics psychological nursing can improve negative emotions of parturients during childbirth, shorten delivery time, effectively reduce postpartum depression, promote the improvement of maternal and infant outcomes, and increase nursing satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
