Objective To explore the application effect of birthing ball combined with free position midwifery nursing in the nursing of primiparas.Methods A total of 70 cases of primiparas in Lianjiang Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital from January to December 2023 were selected as the research objects,and were divided into study group(n=35)and control group(n=35)by random number table method.The above groups were given birthing ball combined with free position midwifery nursing and routine care,respectively,and the stage of labor,postpartum blood loss,pain score,neonatal Apgar score,maternal labor risk events,and satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results The stage of labor in the study group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.05).The study group had lower pain score and less postpartum blood loss than the control group(P<0.05).The neonatal Apgar score in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of delivery risk events in the study group was lower than that in the control group,and the satisfaction rate was higher(P<0.05).Conclusion Birthing ball combined with free position midwifery nursing has a positive significance in improving maternal and neonatal outcomes,which can shorten stage of labor,reduce the incidence of delivery risk events,and increase satisfaction.
