Design and Safety Assessment for Upper Modules of Offshore Equipment
The upper module of marine equipment bears various loads throughout its life cy-cle,and it is directly related to the safety of life and property at sea and the stability of maritime order.The design and analysis of upper module is facing great challenges.Key de-sign points such as structural materials,element selection,node design,deformation and stability control is described by taking a certain offshore modular drilling rig as the research object in this paper.The load of the modular drilling rig under the design life is analyzed,the load combination method and typical analysis conditions are given.Finally,the simula-tion analysis methods under various conditions are discussed and finite element analysis is conducted.The results indicate that the design and analysis method described in this paper can effectively reflect the stress and deformation level of the structure,so that the structure meets the requirements of the specifications.Based on the analysis results,suggestions are given for the stress and deformation characteristics and verification focus under various work-ing conditions.The research result can provide reference for the design and safety evaluation of the upper module of marine equipment.
