Chemical Constituents from Chloroform Fraction of Mulberry(Mori Fructus)
Fifteen chemical constituents were isolated and purified from mulberry(Mori Fructus)by multiple column chromatography methods.Their structures were identified as(7R,8S)-erythro-7,9,9'-trihydroxy-3,3'-dimethoxy-8-O-4'-neolignan-4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(1),(7S,8R)-erythro-7,9,9'-trihydroxy-3,3'-dimethoxy-8-O-4'-neolignan-4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(2),(7S,8S)-thero-7,9,9'-trihydroxy-3,3'-dimethoxy-8-O-4'-neolignan-4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(3),syringaresinol mono-β-D-glucoside(4),eugenyl-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(5),caffeic acid(6),pistaciamide(7),(6R)-5β-(6,7-dihydroxyethyl)-4-(5'-hydroxymethyl-furan-2-yl-methylene)-2β-ethoxy-dihydrofuran-3-one(8),5-hydroxymethylfurfural(9),2-deoxy-D-ribono-1,4-lactone(10),Artoindonesianin O(11),Moracin C(12),Moracin D(13),Moracin E(14)and Prionitiside A(15)by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopies, mass spectrometry and circular dichroism.Compounds 1-6 are phenylpropanoid compounds;compounds 11-15 are benzofuran compounds;compounds 1-8 and 10-11 are isolated from mulberry for the first time.
