Progress on Chemical Constituents,Pharmacological Activities and Quality Analysis of Sauropus spatulifolius Beille
Sauropus spatulifolius Beille belongs to Sauropus genus,Euphorbiaceae family.As a dual-purpose traditional Chinese medicine with Lingnan characteristics,the leaves of Sauropus spatulifolius have the effects on clearing heat,moistening the lungs,resolving phlegm,and relieving cough.The main chemical constituents isolated from Sauropus spatulifolius leave include flavonoids,alkaloids,terpenoids,carbohydrates and their derivatives,phenylpropanoids,steroids,fatty acids and other types of compounds.Modern pharmacological studies have shown that it has pharmacological activities such as relieving cough and asthma,anti-inflammation and analgesia,anti-oxidation,anti-allergy and antibacterial.This paper summarizes the research progress on the chemical composition,pharmacological activity and quality analysis of Sauropus spatulifolius leave in recent years,and suggests its future research direction,in order to provide reference for further research,development and utilization of Sauropus spatulifolius resources.
