Radicals Scavenging Activities and Material Bases of Coptis Inflorescences from Different Sources
In order to study the radicals scavenging activities and main material bases of coptis inflorescences from different sources, the contents of total phenols, total anthocyanins, total alkaloids, total flavonoids and linarin in alcohol extracts of coptis inflorescences from different sources(coptis inflorescences from Lichuan,Hubei and Shizhu,Chongqing;Coptis deltoidea inflorescence from Hongya,Sichuan;Coptis teeta inflorescence from Fugong,Yunnan)were quantitatively detected. At the same time, the scavenging activities of DPPH radical(DPPH·),ABTS radical(ABTS·+)and superoxide anion radical(O2·-)in alcohol extracts of coptis inflorescences from different sources were tested and analyzed. The results showed that the total phenolic and total flavonoid contents in Coptis deltoidea inflorescence are the highest among all the coptis inflorescences,at the level of 118.26±7.07 mg/g(calculated by gallic acid)and 78.39±4.92 mg/g(calculated by rutin),respectively. The contents of total anthocyanins and total alkaloids in Coptis teeta inflorescence are relatively high,at the level of 9.83±2.00 mg/g(calculated by catechin)and 86.46±0.38 mg/g(calculated by berberine hydrochloride),respectively. The total alkaloid contents in Coptis chinensis inflorescences from Lichuan and Shizhu are no significant difference(P>0.05).Radicals scavenging activities of coptis inflorescences from different sources on DPPH·,ABTS·+and O2·-,from strong to weak, are Coptis deltoidea inflorescence,Coptis chinensis inflorescence from Shizhu,Coptis chinensis inflorescence from Lichuan,Coptis teeta inflorescence. The radicals scavenging activities of linarin on DPPH·,ABTS·+and O2·-are 4.88%to 5.54%,12.17%to 16.82%,and 11.37%to 12.21%,respectively.The molecular docking results indicate that the main reason affecting radicals scavenging activity of linarin is its weak electron donating ability, which is speculated to be the intrinsic reason for the low contribution rate of linarin to radicals scavenging activities of the three radicals.
