Before and after the disintegration of the Soviet Union,Lenin was stigmatized and his image was tarnished due to the Soviet/Russian erroneous national historical memory policy.By the mid to late 1990s,this historical nihilism trend had reached its peak.At the beginning of the new century, the Russian government began to rectify, and research on Russian historiography became increasingly objective. On the occasion of commemorative years such as the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution, the 150th anniversary of Lenin's birth, and the 100th anniversary of Lenin's death,a large number of research achievements have emerged in the Russian academic community. In depth discussions have been conducted on Lenin's historical status, major contributions, personal evaluation, and historical heritage, and Lenin's historical contributions have been presented comprehensively.Of course, there are still some controversies surrounding the Lenin issue in Russian society.Overall,Lenin's image has returned.Lenin's heritage has important value and inspiration for exploring the current development path of Russian society and solving global problems.
