On the Coupling Coordination Between Tourism Efficiency and Common Prosperity in the Eighteen Cities along the Grand Canal
Based on panel data, this paper explores the evolution characteristics and influencing factors of the coupling coordination between tourism efficiency and common prosperity in the 18 cities along the Grand Canal,so as to provide a reference for promoting high-quality development of regional tourism and common prosperity among residents. The findings show that:(1)during the study period, the tourism efficiency of the 18 cities along the Canal has continuously increased, with technological progress as the main contributing factor;(2)the comprehensive index of common prosperity of the cities has shown a continuous development, but the spatial distribution heterogeneity is significant, generally manifesting a U-shaped pattern with high values at both ends of the canal and low values in the middle;(3)the coupling coordination between tourism efficiency and common prosperity has been continuously strenthened, but there exists significant regional heterogeneity;Beijing and cities in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces exhibit higher levels of coupling coordination, while other cities have lower levels of coupling coordination.
