The Impact of Digital Economy on Urban Carbon Emissions
In recent years, the widespread emergence of the digital economy has been influencing various aspects of the social economy, and also impacting urban carbon emissions.Based on the research hypothesis proposed and the regression models constructed, this paper empirically analyzed the carbon emissions of Shanghai, and further examined the regression results.Through heterogeneity analysis and analysis of other influencing variables, the study has had the following findings:(1)the development of the digital economy can reduce the urban carbon emissions and has a nonlinear impact on urban carbon emissions;(2)a comparison with other cities shows significant spatial differences in urban carbon emission intensity, and the digital economy has a spatial impact on carbon emissions. Therefore,it is necessary to continuously further the development of the digital industry and promote the continuous growth and expansion of the digital economy,so as to reduce urban carbon emissions and build a beautiful China and a better future for all.
