On the Digital Economy Development and the Performance of Public Welfare Crowdfunding——An Empirical Analysis Based on Tencent Charity Platform
The digital economy is a powerful driving force for the development of public welfare undertakings.This study collects data on public welfare crowdfunding projects from Tencent Charity Platform between 2016 and 2022,establishes an econometric model,and explores the impact of digital economy development on the performance of public fundraising.The findings reveal that the digital economy development in the initiator's region can promote the fundraising performance of the project.Mechanism tests indicate that the digital economy enhances regional innovation capability and industrial structure level,thereby empowering the improvement of public welfare crowdfunding performance.The research conclusions provide a reference for exploring the impact of the digital economy on public fundraising and promoting the digital development of charitable undertakings.
