National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) is the main body of the American college competitive sports , yielding a deep influence on American higher education ,competitive sports and American society .In this paper ,the or-ganizational nature of NCAA is analyzed with adoption of non -profit organizational theories .It can be seen that NCAA is a non-profit organization in the American legal system .Its development is insightful for research into collegiate athletics .
