The reform of school P.E.curriculum in China is embedded in the modernization of Chinese education,which is the essence of the Chinese modernization of school P.E.Anchoring the focus of school P.E.curriculum in the Chinese path to modernization has profound significance for the development of school P.E.in China.The research adopted literature review and logical analysis to explore the historical evolution,experience and strategies of school P.E.curriculum reform under the background of the Chinese path to modernization.It was seen that under the background of the Chinese path to modernization,the reform of school P.E.curriculum underwent through initial,active and integrative stages,during which,a wealth of experience in curriculum reform had been gathered,which included giving play to the core leadership role of the CPC in taking the overall situation,maintaining the progressiveness and feasibility of curriculum modernization,ensuring the logical mainline of human development,constructing the vertical value logic of curriculum modernization,alleviating the tension between the society and the individuals,shaping a dual engine driven curriculum modernization pattern,switching from transplanting and imitating to exploring and innovation,deeply cultivating a locally rooted curriculum modernization path.In the future,the practical strategies should focus on promoting the renewal and upgrading of curriculum value,highlighting the advantage of population size,forming a comprehensive layout of course resources to meet the needs of all students for a better life,cultivating the spiritual background of P.E.courses,promoting the three-dimensional inheritance of the traditional Chinese sports culture,building a high-quality curriculum development system to promote the comprehensive development of the students,creating a development model for P.E.courses with the Chinese characteristics,and providing the Chinese experience to promote the healthy development of global youth.
