The Paris 2024 Olympic Games coincide with a century of unprecedented change in the world and are at a crucial time for the International Olympic Committee's trilogy of strategic transformation.This paper examines the history of French sport diplomacy since the inception of the modern Olympic movement,and traces the evolution of France's international sports discourse.France will take the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as an opportunity to build a cultural"lieux de mémoire"centered on urban communication.Simultaneously,France actively arranges sport diplomacy,and enhances international influence,cultural soft power,and international sports discourse power by implementing the"new sport diplomacy"strategy,breaking through the myth of the"du piège de Coubertin"with a new development route of sports geopolitics.
