Based on the basic principles of historical materialism and the internal logic of the development of Wushu culture,a new exploration of the historical periodization of Wushu was made.It was shown that the historical development of Wushu had experienced the processes from the Wushu of the Central Plains Region,Wushu of China,Wushu of Asia to Wushu of the world according to the scope of the influences of Wushu culture.The new periodization of Wushu from the perspective of cultural history was of great significance and value for the development of Wushu.It could lay the epistemological foundation for the combination of Chinese traditional culture and Marxist theory in the cultural level of Wushu,and provide a new path for the development of Wushu.
