Classroom Teaching Behaviors for Interdisciplinary Thematic Learning in P.E.and Health in a Multimodal Perspective
Classroom teaching behavior is an important factor affecting the students'classroom learning and classroom teaching effectiveness.Adopting the multimodal theory and content analysis,and with the help of ELAN software,a framework for analyzing the classroom teaching behaviors of P.E.and health interdisciplinary thematic learning,including language,movement,eyes,gestures,tools and environment was built.The classroom teaching behavior of P.E.and health interdisciplinary thematic learning in the"1 000 Lessons for 10 000 People"Master Teacher's Open Classes was studied.The classroom teaching behavior of P.E.and health interdisciplinary thematic learning was analyzed.It was found that the classroom teaching behavior of P.E.and health interdisciplinary theme learning was characterized by the teaching concept emphasizing individual active participation while the students'sense of autonomy needed to be improved.The classroom showed that the teacher-student interaction was not enough.The student development mode advocated the cultivation of core competencies while the teachers'interdisciplinary integration ability was insufficient.In order to effectively improve the classroom teaching quality of interdisciplinary theme learning in P.E.and health,it was proposed to improve the autonomy of the students'participation in interdisciplinary learning in P.E.for the development of the students,to promote the quality of the discourse for the effectiveness of the teacher-student interaction,and to improve the teachers'competency for better interdisciplinary theme teaching.
