Analysis of Structural Design Key Point of Large Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger
In order to carry out safe,reasonable and reliable structural design of large trailing suction hopper dredger(TSHD),taking a large TSHD as an example,the design characteristics of large TSHD were analyzed,and the design points of large TSHD were demonstrated from the perspectives of structure design,strength evaluation,fatigue evaluation and vibration e-valuation.Through the analysis of the structure design of mud tank,the critical area of mud tank was given.The strength and fa-tigue analysis of critical area showed that the stress level of the local critical area is high,and the low-cycle fatigue plays a major role.A three-dimensional FE model was established to calculate the natural frequency,showing that the natural frequency of large TSHD can usually avoid the excitation frequency,while the natural frequency of the living quarter is close to the excitation fre-quency.
