Research on Fleet Carbon Reduction Route Based on IMO GHG Reduction Strategy
To address the challenges posed by GHG,IMO proposed a carbon reduction strategy of reducing carbon intensity by 40%in 2030 compared with 2008,reducing carbon intensity by 70%in 2050 compared with 2008,and reducing greenhouse gases by 50%.International navigation ships need to take appropriate measures to meet the IMO's carbon reduction requirements. At same time,China proposed that carbon dioxide emissions should reach the peak by 2030 and achieve the"2060 double carbon target"of carbon neutrality by 2060.In this paper, using the fleet carbon reduction analysis model, taking the fleet of a shipping company as the research object, the different fuel routes were analyzed. The evaluation results showed that carbon neutrality can be achieved by using green ammonia and green methanol as the main fuels while considering carbon capture. The study put for-ward the carbon reduction route suitable for the target fleet, which has practical guiding significance for the carbon reduction of domestic fleet.
