Research on Damage of Fiber Composite Underwater Protective Structure under Dragging Load
The seawater degradation and material property tests were carried out on the materials of underwater protective structures, and it was proved that the composite material composed of glass fiber and vinyl ester resin can ensure the bearing ca-pacity and stability of the structure after immersion in seawater.Based on the Larc05 damage criterion, damage analysis and re-search were conducted on underwater protective structures under drag loads, and finite element analysis was conducted on differ-ent positions and structures of protective covers. It was found that matrix damage is the most common type of damage, and posi-tions 3 and 4 of the protective cover without cap beam reinforcement are more prone to damage than positions 1 and 2.For protec-tive covers with cap beam reinforcement, the bearing capacity of position 2 under fiber splitting damage mode decreased by 29.6%,while the rest of the bearing capacity increased.
