In order to meet the demand of the development of medium-water depth marginal oil fields in the South China Sea,the independent development scheme of"underwater production system+jack-up production and storage platform or small semi-submersible production and storage platform+DP shuttle tanker"was proposed by referring to the engineering experience of developing marginal oil fields in the Bohai Sea and the Beibu Gulf of the South China Sea using"bee mode".Through the pre-liminary research of the functions,general layout and transport schemes of the two oil production facilities,it was indicated that suitable schemes can be selected according to different water depth conditions in the South China Sea80～400m operation area to realize the rolling development of marginal oil fields.It can provide new low-cost equipment and efficient development mode for marginal oil field development from shallow water to middle and deep water.
