Exploring the Development Path of Ethnic Cultural Tourism Industry from the Perspective of Rural Revitalization——An Anthropological Investigation and Reflection Based on Xia Village
In the contemporary context of rural revitalization, the cultural industry in the southwestern ethnic regions is not only about"for whom"the revitalization is aimed but also"by whom"it is achieved. From an anthropological perspective, the development of the tourism industry in Xia Village,Yunnan, reveals how local government policies, market forces, and villagers'cultural awareness, under the impact of modernization, have led to a trend of cultural homogenization. The so-called"uniqueness"has used urban lifestyle landscapes as a framework for new rural development, making it difficult for local cultural characteristics to stand out.Without cultural inheritance and excavation of core cultural values, the development of the ethnic cultural tourism industry loses its vibrant"soul."This issue reveals the tension between traditional and modern lifestyles in rural construction. It should not be simplified to the responsibility of a single entitybut instead should be considered within a framework of multi-actor interaction that comprehensively takes into account the demands of all parties.By implementing a mass line approach and consultative governance,we can explore innovative development paths centered on the people to achieve a harmonious coexistence of culture and modernity in rural revitalization.
