Simulation of Ecological Changes in Grasslands under Artificial Grassland Planting Strategies
Artificial grassland planting is an important way to achieve ecological protection of grassland and improve the quality of life of herding households, and is also one of the important elements in grass production and environmental management. In order to study whether artificial grass planting can achieve the expected ecological regulation effect,we construct an Agent-based Artificial Grassland Planting Model(APG-ABM)using the Xianghuang of Xilin Gol Grassland as the study area, simulate the development of grassland in the next 30 years under five scenarios, and analyze the trends of herders'income and ecological pressure and other indicators. The experi-mental results show that without planting artificial grass, the herders'per capita income is around 35 000 and 20 000 RMB when economic or ecological benefits are given priority respectively, and the stress index of the former is within the range of[0.8,1],while that of the latter is stable below 0.5.After planting artificial grassland, the per capita income of pastoralists reaches about70 000 and55 000 RMB respectively, with the former fluctuating within the range of[0.7,0.9]and the latter stable at about 0.2.After conserving 50%of the grassland resources, the herders'per capita income is in the range of 45 000~50 000 RMB,and the ecological pressure is at a normal level of less than 0.5.Therefore,the large-scale planting of artificial grassland can significantly relieve ecological pressure and significantly increase the per capita income of herders, which is conducive to strengthening the ecological construction of grasslands in China.
