Adding 4.4%to 5%rare earth elements to cast aluminum alloys can significantly improve their comprehensive properties,especially room temperature mechanical properties.Rare earth aluminum alloys are widely used in the manufacturing of complex components such as airplanes and automobiles.This article briefly introduces the strengthening effects of rare earth elements in aluminum alloys,including microalloying,purification,and modification effects.It analyzes the micro mechanisms of various strengthening effects,providing theoretical support for the development of more series of rare earth aluminum alloys.
