In order to ensure that toys designed for young children can meet their needs of growth and development at different stages,this paper discusses the value of toy design based on the kindergarten context,puts forward that toy de-sign needs to follow three basic principles of functionality,diversity and safety,excavates toy design elements from two aspects of behavior and aesthetic education concept,and looks forward to the development trend of toy design from the perspective of innovation and sustainability.
