Animation is the product of the combination of art and technology.The artistic quality and crazy imagination of animation can be better interpreted through technical means in the continuous development of the times.Throughout the animation development history in the world,works with cul-tural competitiveness have not deviated from the expression of their own culture while possessing excellent production efficiency and methods.This paper tries to start from the development stage of traditional ethnic style animation pro-duction,analyzes the similarities and differences between the expression forms of new media technology and tradi-tional mode in the early,middle and late stages of animation production,and combines the current development status of animation market to explore the prospect and possibility of the innovative combination of emerging animation technolo-gy and excellent ethnic culture and art.
