Game is a function of culture.This paper takes two popular competitive online games of League of Legends and Honor of Kings as the research object.By analyzing the application of traditional cultural elements in the design of game characters,it explores the bearing and dissemination of traditional Chinese culture by the characters in competitive online games,as well as the correct integration of traditional culture,so as to promote the organic combination of traditional culture and game characters.In this way,while providing players with a lively and vivid game competitive experience,it encourages players to perceive the unique charm of excellent traditional Chinese culture,enhance their cultural self-confidence,establish the ideological consciousness of learning,inheriting and carrying forward excellent traditional Chinese culture,and highlight the functional value of online games to carry forward traditional culture.
