Research on the Design of Teaching Toy for School-age Children Based on STEAM Education Concept
With the development of society,people pay more and more attention to the all-round development of school-age children.As an important concept of cultivating com-prehensive talents in the 21st century,STEAM education concept is gradually entering the public view and is widely used in the design of school-age children's teaching toys.This paper first explains the connotation of STEAM edu-cation concept,then summarizes the types of school-age children's teaching toys based on STEAM education con-cept,and analyzes the significance and design principles of school-age children's teaching toys based on STEAM ed-ucation concept.It provides designers with diversified cre-ation ideas from the aspects of taking school-age children as the center,integrating education with entertainment,and conducting open design,and puts forward the design strat-egy of school-age children's teaching toys based on STEAM education concept,in order to provide strategic reference for the design of teaching toys.
