Research on the Color Design of Children's Picture Book Based on Color Theory
Children's picture books are books that focus on drawing and have a small amount of text attached.In con-temporary society,children's picture books are not only the carrier of stories.With the emphasis on children's educa-tion,many classic picture books play an important role in children's cognitive,emotional and aesthetic development.Among them,color design plays an indispensable role.Color is not only the expression of color,but also can help picture books depict the theme,better convey the content of picture books,and promote children's mental and cognitive devel-opment.This paper first expounds the development history and trend of children's picture books,then introduces the color theory,and explains the application value of color design in children's picture books from multiple angles.Fi-nally,combined with the specific color design of children's picture books The Very Hungry Caterpillar,The Rainbow Fish,and The Starry Night,it reflects and summarizes the methods of color design in children's picture book creation.
