This paper discusses the practical application of self-made playing teaching aid in mathematics curriculum activities in the lower grade of primary school.In order to give full play to the auxiliary teaching role of playing teach-ing aid in mathematics education,teachers need to establish clear teaching objectives,carefully select suitable playing teaching aids,and innovate their application methods to maximize the teaching potential.At the same time,teachers also need to pay attention to the feedback of students and adjustment,so as to continuously optimize the actual ef-fect of playing teaching aid in the teaching process.In the specific mathematics curriculum activities,the use of self-made RMB and coin models,scale models and weight cards,number puzzles,angle models,counting tools and number cards can help students better understand and master math-ematical concepts,stimulate students'learning interest and creativity.Through the scientific and rational use of self-made playing teaching aids,the teaching quality and effect of mathematics curriculum in the lower grade of primary school can be effectively improved.
