With the continuous deepening of economic globalization,China's traditional culture has more oppor-tunities and faces new challenges in the protection and inheritance.Game is a popular entertainment activity loved by young people all over the world.It has the char-acteristics of widespread and rapid dissemination,and can also realize cross-cultural,cross-racial and cross-linguis-tic dissemination.The integration of traditional Chinese cultural elements into game design can make use of game as a medium to realize the innovative inheritance and de-velopment of traditional culture.This paper first explains the necessity of integrating traditional cultural elements into game design,and then analyzes the application status of traditional Chinese cultural elements in game design based on Chinese local games,and then discusses in detail how to better apply traditional cultural elements to game design,so that players can naturally accept traditional Chi-nese culture during the process of game,and then promote the dissemination and development of traditional Chinese culture in the world.
