As a unique art form,two-dimensional short animation has always attracted the attention and love of the audience.This paper focuses on exploring the impor-tance of the pre-design of short animation and revealing the commonalities of expression form,plot and art design behind excellent short animation.Through the analysis of the pre-design highlights in the animations such as Genre and Ship Down the Well,Nobody,Goose Mountain in Yao-Chinese Folktales,as well as Chinese Choir:Song of the Parting Son,it helps readers better understand the essence and skills of the originality realization in short animation design,so as to provide some reference for an-imation workers.
