Research on the Promotion of Regional Revitalization in Marginal Area by Animation Holy Land Tour Activity—Taking Saga Prefecture in Japan as an Example
In the Survey on Promoting Local Development through the Production and Use of Video Works jointly is-sued by the Ministry of Land,Infrastructure,Transport and Tourism;the Ministry of Economy,Trade and Industry;and Agency for Cultural Affairs in Japan in 2005,high ex-pectations were placed on the economic benefits and new tourism resource creation brought by video works to the region.This survey has promoted the development of the mode of local government using animation works to re-vitalize region.Among them,the animation Zombie Land Saga(hereinafter referred to as Saga)shows the regional culture and landscape of Saga Prefecture in Japan,and is a successful case.The holy land tour activity around Saga presents three characteristics:the benign interaction be-tween tourists and local indigenous people,the long-term sustainability over time,and the dynamic combination with tourists.
