Color is an important carrier of visual communi-cation.When people see a product,they are often attract-ed by the color of the product.Especially in the design of children's toys,the application of color is essential.Designers should fully analyze children's cognitive and emotional needs,optimize color schemes,and enhance the visual appeal and expressiveness of toys.This paper dis-cusses the application significance of color in the design of children's toys,sorts out the existing main problems,such as single color and unreasonable color matching,and puts forward some suggestions on the color application of chil-dren's toys from the aspects of dominant color,adjacent color,complementary color,children's physical and mental characteristics and different materials,so as to provide the-oretical reference for designers to improve the design level of children's toys.
