This paper takes Makoto Shinkai's animation film Suzume as the research object,and analyzes the growth process of the protagonist Suzume from the per-spective of Freud's personality structure theory.Makoto Shinkai integrates superego's social responsibility into the shaping of the character,so that the audience can ex-plore themselves and tap their self-worth while reading the growth of the character.It aims to provide audiences with a way to appreciate and understand Makoto Shinkai's films,and also provide new possibilities for the integra-tion of film and psychology.
