Teaching Exploration of Animation Elective Course in Visual Communication Design Major
Visual communication design,as an interdisci-plinary discipline that integrates multiple majors and dis-ciplines,is committed to serving various fields in modern business.With the continuous changes and innovations of all walks of life in today's society,especially in the context of rapid development of information technology,many traditional industry modes are undergoing disruptive changes.This profound changes in the social background inevitably affect the reform of the visual communication profession and the overall development of the industry.As an important supplementary part of visual communica-tion design,the teaching objectives of animation elective courses should be clearer.In the teaching process,teachers should have a deep understanding of the core position and role of animation courses in visual communication design,as well as its profound impact on students'future career.They should guide students to deeply understand the basic principles and techniques of animation through carefully designed teaching content and methods,and emphasize the cultivation of their innovation and practice abilities,with a focus on cultivating high-quality talents that can adapt to the development of future society and industry.This paper introduces the current teaching situation of the animation elective course in the visual communication de-sign major,and explores the teaching reform strategies of the animation elective course in the visual communication design major from the aspects of teaching methods,course content,and evaluation methods,in order to optimize the training path of professional talents.
