The blowout development of generative AI has not only brought earth-shaking impact to the space design industry,but also injected new vitality into it and promoted a new round of innovation in the space design industry.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the feasibility of the application of generative AI in space design.This paper analyzes the development status of the space design in-dustry and the current demand of people for space design,expounds the generative AI tools suitable for space design,and summarizes the challenges and precautions faced by the application of generative AI in space design.It aims to provide some reference for practitioners in the space design industry,and jointly explore how to maintain inno-vation vitality,realize the harmonious coexistence of tech-nology and humanities,and promote the space design to a brilliant future under the wave of generative AI.
