Qinhuai lantern is a traditional lantern art and a valuable intangible cultural heritage.With the continuous development of information technology and science and technology in the times,there is a big gap in the inher-itance of Qinhuai lantern.This paper investigates the Qin-huai lantern in Nanjing,Jiangsu Province,China,and fur-ther explores the historical origin and artistic significance of the Qinhuai lantern.It analyzes the production process,production materials and modeling forms of the Qinhuai lantern,discusses the inheritance and innovation of the Qinhuai lantern from the perspective of intangible cultural heritage,and proposes methods such as industrial structure transformation,material innovation,policy preference,and education popularization.
