Research on the Design of Household Kitchen Product for Visually Impaired People Based on Sensory Compensation Mechanism
Visually impaired people will encounter a lot of troubles in daily life.At present,the research on product design for visually impaired people is more about travel navigation products and public facilities,and there are rel-atively few solutions to problems in daily home life.This paper analyzes the pain points of the use of the kitchen for the visually impaired people by observation and in-depth interview methods,and explores the design requirements of kitchen products for visually impaired people.Based on the sensory compensation mechanism for visually impaired people,a set of multi-modal intelligent interactive kitchen products combining auditory sensation and tactile sensa-tion is designed.Through the functions of voice feedback and tactile tips,real-time cooking guidance is realized,and the safety and efficiency of the use of the kitchen for the visually impaired people are improved,so as to enhance their independent living ability.
