Since 1950s,the rise of container ships gradually changes transportation system and impacts the competition among ports.And it has became the main driving force on evolution of port system.Since the 21st century,the development of large container ship accelerates,and greater demands are being placed on both of facilities and services,as well as performance of each port,competition among pivotal ports and shipping alliance.This article aims to analyze the impact of large container ships to development of ports,on account of which,ports could formulate their strategy to have an invincible position in the competition.
