A huge shortage of talents existed in the field of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality,and accelerating the construction of the specialty in economics of climate change would help to fill the gap of professional talents,and provide important support for China to the effective implementation of"double carbon"goals and the promotion of Chinese path to modernization.This research summarized the development status of economics of climate change,and collected information for the current situation of the establishment of the specialty in economics of climate change in domestic and foreign universities.On this basis,this research proposed several pathways for the specialty construction of economics of the climate change specialty,and the pathways are strengthening the organization and leadership of specialty construction,implementing various measures for specialty construction,and paying attention to in the inspection and evaluation of specialty construction.
