The Development Strategy of Multimodal Transport in Nansha Port Driven by the"Double Circulation"
As one of the structural changes in the transportation industry, vigorously developing multimodal transport is an important support for building a new development pattern of"dual circulation"and a solid guarantee for promoting the stability of the logistics supply chain and serving the people's better life.As an important hub connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with the inland economic hinterland and a core port for expanding foreign trade,Guangzhou Nansha Port has many favorable conditions in the aspects of geographical location, transportation infrastructure, route cooperation, and smart logistics enabling multimodal transportation, but there are still shortcomings such as low containerization rate, low proportion of sea-rail intermodal transport, incomplete system and inconsistent standards of multimodal transport, poor flexibility of railway transport, uneven distribution of transport capacity, low efficiency of road transport, and limited radiation range of river-sea intermodal transportation.Driven by the"double circulation",it proposes strategies such as improving the standardization level of multimodal transport, prefecting the construction of seamless port public and railway networks, giving full play to the Pearl River's"golden waterway"function, increasing the sharing of information resources, and innovating the multimodal transport organization mode and marketing mode.
