In the new development pattern,competition between ports is constantly intensifying.As an important hub of new western land-sea corridor,it is particularly important for Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port to enhance its competitiveness and build an international hub.This article constructs an evaluation index system for port competitiveness and uses factor analysis to evaluate and analyze the competitiveness of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port and other 15 ports including Shanghai Port,Shenzhen Port and Guangzhou Port.Based on the evaluation and analysis results,combined with the strategic positioning and new development opportunities of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port,strategies and suggestions are proposed to enhance the port's competitiveness,in order to promote the high-quality development of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port,and assist in the construction of new western land-sea corridor.
