Digital Economy Enables the "Quantity Reduction and Quality Improvement" of Carbon Emissions of Logistics Industry
Based on the provincial panel data from 2003 to 2020,this paper adopts the three-stage SBM-DEA model to measure the carbon emission efficiency of the logistics industry, uses the entropy method to measure the level of China's digital economy, applies the dual fixed effect model to study the direct impact of digital economy on the"quantity reduction and quality improvement"of carbon emission of the logistics industry, and passes the robustness test and endogeneity test. Taking industrial structure optimization as the mechanism variable, this paper explores the indirect impact of digital economy on the"quantity reduction and quality improvement"of carbon emissions of the logistics industry, and draws the following conclusions:Firstly, digital economy has played a significant inhibitory role in the carbon emission intensity of the logistics industry, and digital economy has played a significant role in promoting the carbon emission efficiency of the logistics industry;Secondly,in the process of the digital economy's influence on the"quantity reduction and quality improvement"of carbon emissions from the logistics industry, the optimization of industrial structure plays an intermediary effect, that is,the development of the digital economy exerts the"quantity reduction and quality improvement"effect of carbon emissions from the logistics industry through the optimization of industrial structure.
