Interference experiment of double point-sources using adjustable wedge
A wedge interference device with the adjustable angle was designed, the interference characteristics between double point-sources could be displayed with a fiber-coupled output laser as the light source. The fiber output could be regarded as a point-source,which formed virtual double point-sources after wedge tip reflection. The line-shaped interference fringe similar to Young's interference could be observed in the direction perpendicular to the connecting line of the virtual double point-sources.A ring-shaped interference fringe similar to the Michelson interference was formed in the ex-tension line direction of the connecting line of the virtual double point-sources.The experimental re-search showed that the interference fringe could still be observed when the wedge tip thickness reached mm order,so it could be used to measure the shape variable of the object in mm order.
