Verifying Wien's displacement law of blackbody radiation based on Fourier transform spectroscopy
The Wien's displacement law in the blackbody radiation law was verified in the infrared band. The infrared radiation spectra of a blackbody at a range of temperatures were measured by a self-designed and built Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, and the direct proportional relation-ship between the peak wavelength of the radiation and the reciprocal of the temperature was verified. The measured proportional coefficient was 2.812 ×10-3 m·K,and the deviation from the standard value was about 3%.During the experiment,a series of device optimization methods including the moving speed calibration of the moving mirror were explored, and Fourier transform algorithms were used to process the experimental data in order to obtain more accurate and credible results.
